Cross off another "doing something right" checklist point.

Posted on 2005.02.28 at 21:54
A long time back, I got the "you're just a loser who works in fast food and lives in his parents' basement" comment. I crossed that off the checklist.

Today, I finally got the "you're just a fanboy who can't take criticism of your idols" comment. And I get to cross that off the checklist.

Success is measured by the provincialism of your trolls.

Websnark and your own Comic

What are your rules going to be regarding snarking your own comic? Are you going to unasamedly talk about it on websnark? Try and keep them totally seperate? Or try and snark it with a neutral facade? I'm not sure conflict of interest applies when they are both basically hobbies, I'm just curious. -Nick

P.S. (Although not really because it's actually written at the same time.) You should give Laurell K. Hamilton a try. Fun books. Anita, at least, doesn't get overtly sexual until book five. -N.

Re: Websnark and your own Comic

I won't snark it (meaning among other things it won't be in the Webcomics group), but I'll feel free to talk about my experiences with it. I'm not going to pretend I can be objective about it, but I'm also not going to pretend it's not a major part of my life.

Does that make sense? ;)

Re: Websnark and your own Comic

So, uh, is that gonna apply to other stuff?

Um, you know. Stuff. With blondes. And blackjack. And -- forget the blackjack.

Re: Websnark and your own Comic

I'm reserving rights to snark stuff with blonds and blackjack.

But, presumably, not all bits thereof.

So do other cartoonists get to give you tasty biscuits if your strip is good?

Are you sure it's not disqualified on account of incorrect grammar? Or does that only make it all the more trollish?

Heh... funny, because I've been working up a new set of goals to work towards, since Crash won't let me talk about our site stats anymore. I *REALLY* like both of those, but I don't think the second one would be all that appropos. DEFINITELY stealing the first one, though.

I have to say, I like that. It's good knowing trolls have been and always will be an unimaginative lot. I salute you and your checklist, sir! :D
