Requisite Cat Pictures.

So. I have a new computer. A MacBook Pro. With a camera built in.

And I have a Livejournal account.

Therefore, here are pictures of my cat.

Look, don't judge me. It's the law. I have no say in these matters. I have a Livejournal and a webcam built into my computer. I am supposed to have pictures of my damn cat.

First we find me, sitting and relaxing after a long, hard day of chasing electrons.

Just me.

But then, suddenly, my cat attacked, facehugger like!

Just me.

The little prima donna paused to pose for a picture. Bitch.

Just me.

And then settled in to sleep, whether I liked it or not.



She is still sleeping there now. Damn her warm soft dead weight!

as a doggy owner myself, I think that dogs don't have the intimate relationships with computers that cats do (keyboard love, jealousy, etc) so the webcam pics aren't the law.

(Of course, while I wrote this my dog came over to demand scritches, so apparently I'm full of it)

I was going to say...
Every time I sit down at the computer, the Lab wanders over and tries to help me use the mouse and type by nudging at my hand and pushing on the keyboard drawer thingy.

Disney the dog we had when we were first married would come come up between my legs at the desk and push the sliding tray with the keyboard back and demend attention if I used the 'puter too long.

I suppose it's a female cat thing to stretch as far along your torse as possible before sacking out - Alexis does that all the time.

It's a cat-thing in general. Baxter would like to do the same, but I don't let him. He weighs way too much.

(Ivan, on the other hand, considers humans only suitable as backrests.

Something is clearly wrong with your cat, Eric--it's ignoring a perfectly good computer.

One of ours likes to stand in front of my dad's monitor, then go around back and start chewing on wires. None of that with *my* computer, though. I love our cats--just not in my space.

There are no pictures of *my* cats on my LJ. Granted, I only just posted my first pictures there Wednesday.

They were of my kid's play room, though. Maybe that's worse. I dunno.

Still, the pics are absolutely priceless, and soooo, well, catty.

I'm working on a theory that explains the correlation between beard shape/thickness and the love of hearing oneself talk.

I know there's a connection somewhere. You should've seen my chinfu til I shortened it so I wouldn't have to listen to my folks bitch about it over spring break.

Kitty! In having 2 cats, I am aware of the high risk of getting a third. Being pinned by one is hard enough to deal with, and two is flirting with disaster. Three? I'd never be able to get up out of bed.
