OMG!!!!!

...huh....

Posted on 2006.05.11 at 02:23
Doing a quick search for old friends, I saw an old link on an old page which made me pause.

Okay, so, there's this person. [info]indigoskynet. A lot of you know her. She's muy cool, sweet, friendly, and I didn't know her at all until long after the start of the Websnark era (and she vectored in via [info]aeire, if I recall correctly).

Later, I discovered that Indigo was a good friend of my old pal [info]evilbeej. Even better. And that in turn tied Indigo back to the Superguy phase of my life, which is where I know evilbeej from. Which seemed even cooler to me. I mean, I'm big on synchronicity.

...well, like I said, I was surfing for old friends... and there's my friend Christy, also known as Gypsylynx. She's one of those people I was closest to in one of the points of my life -- an absolutely wonderful person. I was even in her wedding party for her first wedding.

Indigo was one of her bridesmaids for her second wedding.

Which now ties Indigo back to the BITnet/Relay time of my life.

This is all a testament to the utter coolness of Indigo, of course -- but I'm now full on waiting to discover Indigo went to the same Band camp I did. You all know this, right?

Ah, bitnet, I hardly knew ye.

These IRC/AIM/GoogleChat punks, no respect. Give you a blank look when you start talking about baud rates.

I got a blank look the other day talking about IRC.

Thanks for the sweet words. You could not possibly have picked a better time to say them.

Would you be so kind as to point Christy this way? I've missed her and have no idea how to contact her anymore.

Unfortunately, I never went to band camp.

Haven't you learned by now? The internet, despite protests to the contrary, is a very, very, very small place, and eventually you'll know everyone, somehow.

Especially if you have a good supply of Mystery Pods and Twinks.

The Float Factor alone is enough to make everyone know every one else, I think.

(Gods, I miss Beanworld sometimes!)

BITNET ... I remember those days.

I also remember Relay's ancestors ... Forum and Chat.

I helped beta test Relay ... man ... I'm feeling old over here.

Wow. Your "Indigo's known people I know since forever" mojo kicks mine square in the nuts.

Man.

I sent you email, just before my computer went all crashies. Did you get it? Do I have your right address? THE WORLD MUST KNOW!

Or else the world won't know, for longer, and neither of us want that.

This one time, at band camp, you didn't meet Indigoskynet.

Dude, you've got to have a better band camp story than that!

I worked at O Entertainment with Rob Paulson who starred in Balto with Kevin Bacon.

I was Tuckerized in a Justice League book that had Batman in it. So my Batman Number is 1. :) 2 if you decide to be picky.

I had a grunt in a backup story in Ghost Rider: 2099 who died horribly named after me 'cause the author wasn't fond of me.

Does that get me any sort of number?

She's retroactively stalking you.
