You know... I've never, ever claimed that "John Stark" was anything more than a lark -- and totally ripping off Dinosaur Comics to boot. And it's been nothing but positive, and I really do want to get back to it.

And Ryan North has never said anything bad about it. In fact, almost no one has. And of course, no one has ever compared it favorably to Dinosaur Comics. And nor should they.

However... I just got positive e-mail... from the descendent of John Stark.

Ryan North has, to my knowledge, never gotten e-mail from a monitor lizard.

I'm just saying.

For shame! Monitor lizards are reptiles, and dinosaurs are descendants, not ancestors, of reptiles, therefore the proper joke would be that Ryan North has never gotten e-mail from a bird.

On the other hand, we could make a great argument for ignoring the slang from a nation responsible for such as Screaming Yellow Zonkers.
