Philosophy

It's not religion. I'm not religious, and to describe what I actually believe would take too long and be too drawn out. I guess you could say I'm a pure agnostic for the short form.

No, that's not what impresses me.

And it's not Religion-as-Exclusion. I out and out loathe anyone who preaches that those who don't fall into line will burn/go to Hell/deserve to die/yadda. Jesus, folks, we're all adults here. Grow up. I mean it.

No, that doesn't impress me, either.

It's faith.

Pure, humble faith. Faith that isn't about what other people believe, but that one person's solemn beliefs, held to and made pure by confidence and piety.

I've met some few people who truly have it, but don't use it as a club, or an affectation, or as a way to feel superior -- they simply have it, and don't need to talk about it unless asked.

Astounding. Now that's powerful.
