Whistling in the Dark

Long time readers will remember that an aquaintance of mine was one of the first Marine casualties in the war.

Now, another friend of mine has been sprayed with pepper spray and arrested in an anti war protest. She's the one being spread over the hood of the car in the picture.

Here's another picture of her. The bald cop who looks so gleeful is the one that sprayed her.

I won't go into details. It's not my story to tell. I won't link to her or anything else. I will just say this. I am sick and tired of this thing. I am sick and tired of what it has done to us. I pray daily that the Republican party is wholly and completely turned out in the next election, in such great numbers that they lose the ability even to filibuster. I want America back, right down to the right to free assembly and freedom of speech. I want this nightmare to end, damn it.
