Whistling in the Dark
There is Only One Thing That I Blog...
...huh....
Posted on 2006.05.11 at 02:23Okay, so, there's this person.
Later, I discovered that Indigo was a good friend of my old pal
...well, like I said, I was surfing for old friends... and there's my friend Christy, also known as Gypsylynx. She's one of those people I was closest to in one of the points of my life -- an absolutely wonderful person. I was even in her wedding party for her first wedding.
Indigo was one of her bridesmaids for her second wedding.
Which now ties Indigo back to the BITnet/Relay time of my life.
This is all a testament to the utter coolness of Indigo, of course -- but I'm now full on waiting to discover Indigo went to the same Band camp I did. You all know this, right?
For those curious about the stuff writers sometimes throw away.

Here's a chunk of writing -- 1,200 words or so. I think it's actually kind of okay, all told. Certainly it isn't bad -- well, if we ignore some cumbersome grammar I'd clean up in edits. Instead, it's all been cheerfully excised from the story it was in the middle of.
Said story's concept is simple enough. A reporter for a Rolling Stone knockoff goes to write a Rolling Stone style story interviewing a relatively minor supervillain.
This chunk of writing was fun and evocative and has a pretty girl undressing, and looking at it in the context of the story, it's entirely extraneous and therefore it's gone, and you get to read it here because... I feel like it.
It's moderately NSFW, and entirely "all rights reserved" and the like. Enjoy if you want.
For people who remember Superguy or are just curious about stuff that comes out of my head.
Posted on 2006.05.11 at 17:20When I write backstory, it's usually encyclopedic. It's just the way my brain is organized. You should see the Wikis I've been working on for various writing projects.
Well, for various reasons, I had some Superguy stuff run through my head, and some future extrapolation. And it occurred to me that one day 'Wikipedia' would try to take over the world. So, for anyone who gives any kind of damn, here's two 'Omnipedia' entries. The funny thing is, these are potentially adaptable out of Superguy entirely.
As a side note -- it's fun to occasionally postulate that in the real world? Magneto would have a point.
Read if you want.
