Me, myself and I

First off, there's four new posts on my chapbook page. (E-mail me or msg me here if you don't have the username/password to get into it). People who are subscribed to [info]annotatechapbk knew that a few hours ago, though.

I was pretty sick all week. This is one of those things I'm looking forward to getting behind me after the surgery, when disease will stop making sport of me. Fortunately, I had friends to talk with and things to distract myself with.

Like the creation of art, which I'll include here behind a cut. This was one of the first times I really began to feel... well, like an artist. Not an illustrator, obviously, but I seem to be able to make art. And that feels good.

I'm thinking of doing a poster of it. We'll see.

Also, I have a name for my Ultimate Secret RPG Project, which, following the Underkoffler Convention, I now designate Sekret Project A. Which is beginning to go quite well indeed.

However, even if I use the Underkoffler Convention, that doesn't mean the name is as cool as Dead Inside. But then, what is? All I know is, my thoughts are crystalizing around this project, after thinking it over for at least two years. My friend Dan will be psyched, as he helped me develop the core mechanic and the combat system.

Surgery is March 3. 18 days. 18 days.

Here we go!

I like it! I encourage you, in fact, to put this on a poster. ^_^ What's the medium? (Elsewhere you've made reference to vector art, so I assume Illustrator or its ilk.)

Re:

It started as a photograph, which then got photoshopped into something quite different, then took a side trip into Streamline, and then into Illustrator for mucking about. So, it pretty much hit for the Adobe cycle.

I'm now experimenting with just doing straight photos into vector art with some stylizing, but those... well, come out as pretty straight. The preflight in Photoshop seems to be the key to making something cool.
